How to reach GKSS and the University:
GKSS by Car:

Take the A25 motorway to Geesthacht and follow 'Bundesstraße B5' through the city. Approximately 3 km after leaving Geesthacht you will see a sign to GKSS Research Centre were you should turn right. When asked by the guards please refer to this workshop.

GKSS by Bus:
We will organise a bus service to GKSS from the main railway station, exit 'Kirchenallee' or 'Steindamm'. The bus will wait at the bus stop in front of the station. It will be the same bus stop from where sight seeing tours will start. The bus will leave on Friday, April 7, at 7:45.

Please let us know if you intend to take the bus!

After the workshop on Friday a bus will transfer the participants from GKSS to the restaurant. After the dinner please take the metro or the public bus to your hotel. Or join us for a tour through the city.....

University by Car:
We strongly recommend you to come by bus to the university since it is very difficult to find a parking space in the neighbourhood! In the case that you prefer to come by car: It is usually less difficult to find a parking space in Sedanstraße or Monetastraße. Follow this street in the same direction as the bus, after 100 m you will find the entrance of the university on your left. Follow the signs to the lecture hall D.
